Purpose
This R&D and commercialization project will develop next generation vanadium flow battery (VFB) unit cell architecture using a novel Inter-Digitated Flow Field (IDFF) unit cell concept that integrates optimized graphite cloth electrodes. The new unit cell will provide higher power density and efficiency than conventional flow-through stack technology at lower cost, thus advancing commercialization.
