The redevelopment of rue Matte and rue Lapierre in the Montréal-Nord borough will complete a flagship project requested by borough residents. The rehabilitation of these outdated and overused infrastructures will improve this densely populated living environment. The widening of sidewalks, reduction of street widths, installation of vegetated projections, new lighting, raised crosswalks, tree planting, new signage, installation of street furniture and the securing of Lapierre and Matte streets will encourage active mobility and safety for its users.
