Purpose
This 18-month project will honour the lives and legacies of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and LGBTQ2S individuals and increase awareness about missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls and LGBTQ2S individuals. Project activities will include the development of curriculum material for an educational toolkit designed with, by, and for families and survivors; this curriculum will include awareness enrichment and will promote life-long learning to support Indigenous women in shelters with violence prevention, protection, and perseverance for their healing, wellness, and personal growth.
