Purpose
This project will address gaps in support to Indigenous survivors of gender-based violence by developing and testing culturally-sensitive, violence and trauma-informed promising practices including training for police officers, a sport-based program for youth, and a pre-charge program targeting non-criminal domestic violence offenders. Supplemental funding will allow the organization to organize a dissemination event to share the promising practice and related tools with police service personel from Ontario and other provinces.
