Purpose
The project objective consist in the identification, development and implementation of key steps of an industrial assembly process of a medical optical probe. The main objectives of the project are to propose a new design and an assembly process suitable for industrial production of the Raman probe. Within these objectives, sub-objectives will include, among others, design for manufacturability, process identification, process automation, implementation of the inspection test criteria and the development of a robust process failure modes and effect analysis. The selected approach is based in developing state-of-the-art and innovative processes for assembly automation of the probe, including servo-controled assembly._x000D_
