Purpose
The National Association of Friendship Centres (NAFC) is a network of 107 member Friendship Centres (FCs) and six member Provincial and Territorial Associations (PTAs) from coast-to-coast-to-coast. Friendship Centres facilitate the transition of First Nations, Metis and Inuit people from rural, remote and northern settlement and reserve communities to urban environments. FCs provide culturally-informed programs and services in the areas of justice, health, housing, education, recreation, language, employment, economic development and community wellness. NAFC supports FCs and PTAs achieve their diverse missions and visions within their urban indigenous communities.
