Purpose
This project aims to gather and analyze baseline data regarding the mental health of Public Safety Personnel (PSP) serving in the Search and Rescue (SAR) volunteer organizations: SARVAC (Search and Rescue Volunteer Association of Canada), CASARA (Civil Air Search and Rescue Association), and CCGA (Canada Coast Guard Auxiliary). This will help inform the ongoing development of evidence-based activities designed to minimize the impact of duty-related exposures to Potentially Psychologically Traumatic Events (PPTEs) and other occupational stressors.
