Northern Village of Ile a la Crosse

Purpose

Ile a La Crosse Core Safety Committee, the Elders Society, municipal services, key service providers will collaborate to develop a land based healing program in support of wellness and safety. Additionally the Elders Society will initiate outreach and engagement with the families of Ile a La Crosse exploring reconciliation and traditional Metis models of family support. On-going engagement and knowledge development will occur with proposed pro-social activities that re-affirm community connectedness and Metis culture.
