Purpose
Glacier2Ocean Watch will create a community-led glacier-to-ocean monitoring program in the Hamlet of Grise Fiord. The project will: 1) build capacity for community-based year-round scientific sampling (supplying community members with training, scientific equipment, and logistical support to conduct year-round sampling); 2) develop mechanisms for Inuit knowledge to guide research priorities; 3) foster long-term engagement and knowledge transfer; and, 4) support Grise Fiord delegates to the Pikialasorsuaq Implementation Committee.
