Purpose
The projects multidisciplinary team includes Indigenous and non-Indigenous researchers. Together they: 1) study how environmental changes in the George River Basin impact the Inuit community of Kangiqsualujjuaq regarding landscape and land use patterns, the parameters being decided through community consultations; and 2) develop innovative evaluation tools and assess the impacts of this Community-based environmental monitoring program to answer the objectives and expectations identified by the local community and university researchers.
