Purpose

This contribution provides Global Earth Observation Biodiversity Observation Network (GEO BON) Secretariat, hosted by McGill University with the means to implement a project entitled “Tools, Approaches, and Models to Understand Biodiversity and Carbon Benefits in the Hudson-James Bay Lowlands”. This contribution supports improved knowledge and enables the application of tools, approaches, and models for assessing biodiversity, carbon-rich ecosystems (i.e., ecosystem carbon storage and sequestration), and Indigenous knowledge for the Hudson–James Bay Lowlands and other large northern landscape scale in Canada.
