Purpose

The objectives of this grant are: 1) to support the Toqi’maliaptmu’k Arrangement signed by Parks Canada and the Mi’kmaq of Nova Scotia, 2) build capacity in Mi’kmaq communities to participate with Parks Canada as co-managers of national parks and national historic sites, 3) foster re-connection with the lands through traditional stewardship practices and 4) protect Mi’kmaw culture and heritage.
