Purpose
The contribution supports Royal Botanical Gardens through their Cootes to Escarpment EcoPark System Pilot project, by enabling landowner engagement and participation, assessment and ability take advantage of land securement opportunities, habitat restoration, and engagement Indigenous communities through direct participation and knowledge sharing. Through these activities, the project aims to maintain and enhance ecological connectivity through restoring and securing ecological corridors in the ultra-urban Greater Toronto Area, an otherwise highly fragmented environment.
