Purpose
This contribution supports the creation of the T’Sou-ke Cheea- nun Southern Resident Killer Whale and Marine Centre (Field Station) for Sustainability and Innovation and its mandate to facilitate on-water marine research, education, and stewardship activities, much of which focuses on the protection and recovery of Southern Resident Killer Whales. The contribution also enhances the development and integration of indigenous and non-indigenous scientific and traditional knowledge of the natural processes and human impacts on the marine ecosystem.
