Purpose

The objectives of this grant are 1) to support the Rights and Reconciliation Agreement signed by Parks Canada and the Mi’gmaq, 2) build capacity in Indigenous communities to participate with Parks Canada as co-managers of National Parks and National Historic Sites, 3) foster re-connection with the lands through traditional stewardship practices and 4) protect Mi’gmaw culture and heritage.
