Purpose
There is increasing demand for contactless monitoring technologies to provide timely and precise levels of care for older adults, manage high demand for healthcare services and overcome the expense and limited accessibility of invasive and wearable devices. This contactless monitoring technologies can be done interactively by health professionals and intelligently through continuous surveillance. UBC will collaborate with NRC to develop and implement a contactless monitoring system by providing clinical and patient insights, acceptability assessment and analytics, clinical and community care contexts and system usability testing and validation.This continuing collaboration between UBC and NRC will result in accelerating the use of the VitalSeer suite developed under the NRC PRCP program to support older adults and caregivers to effectively manage their physical health and activities of daily living through contactless physiological monitoring.
