Purpose

Virtual Marine (VM) is a leader in simulator-based training for small vessel (lifeboat and fast response boat) and ice management operations. VM collects data from multiple simulators in the field which is used to analyze performance and improve training programs. To deal with an increasing volume of data, VM aims to develop methods to autonomously combine data from multiple simulator types. To extend value to users, software will be developed to utilize data sets to inform machine learning models used in adaptive trainers, and to use training data as inputs to a Decision Support System to mitigate risk in offshore operations. In effect, VM will advance their ability to link human performance data with live Digital Twins.
