Purpose
The purpose of the project is to develop an efficient and effective open framework for last-mile delivery (LMD) to reduce cost and optimize the delivery time. The proposed framework will leverage emerging technologies and business models. In particular, it will utilize artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, and crowdsourcing techniques. The outcome of the project will be an open and extensible framework by design. In particular, the framework will be agnostic towards the operational environment (e.g., city road network, district planning) and carrier resources.
