Purpose
The proposed Green Youth entails four (4) Green Youth candidates that will be participating within the ongoing IRAP project even though the proposal contents only refer to one. Greenhorizons is one of the largest commercial sod farms in Ontario. They experience losses at harvest time due to areas of sod with low density. This project will develop methodologies to analyze data collected on sod farms to inform management decisions, saving farmers from yield losses and maximizing efficiency of fertilizers.
