Purpose
Dysfunctional innate immune system, aberrant lipid metabolism and chronic inflammation plays a pivotal role in the development of neurodegenerative diseases. We aim to use quantitative neurolipidomics (uOttawa) to identify novel "lipid signatures" that can act as sterile triggers to activate inflammatory responses and leverage antibody-based therapeutics (NRC) to extinguish the fire of inflammation.
