Purpose
The Project will develop a digital twin ecosystem for asset lifecycle management. In doing so, the Project will target the use of innovative AI solutions for predictive maintenance of industrial assets and deliver artificial intelligence (AI) models for implementation into industry platforms. The complementary expertise brought by the research team will enable the creation of an intelligent living digital twin model of infrastructure and equipment for industrial production. With the digital twin platform, decision makers involved in industrial production can get better access to critical information such as the remaining useful life of the key component or structure. Additionally, the AI algorithms will be able to propose proactive maintenance schedules and activities. Thus, the Project will enhance the competency of Canadian businesses in the global market by providing stateof-the-art solutions to meet industry needs which will benefit the country’s economic growth.
