Purpose
The main objective of this project is the development of a Power over Data Line (PoDL) powered Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) industrial universal sensor. The sensor will be used in the industrial environment and provide up to 10Mb/s of sensor data over 1km of single over single pair wire. This innovative SPE technology will transform industrial communication by expanding Ethernet capabilities and replacing legacy standards and protocols, creating end-to-end Ethernet-based industrial control systems. The project will address challenges in extending Ethernet over long distances while ensuring robust data security.
