Purpose
The “Dealing with the Past: Memory for the Future, Phase II” project aims to amplify and scale up community-based gender-sensitive reconciliation work, while calling for national leadership and accountability on dealing with the past. Ultimately, the project aims to promote peaceful co-existence and a sense of belonging in Lebanon. Implemented jointly by UNDP and UN Women in Lebanon, this project builds on the successes and lessons of the first phase of the project, completed with funds from the UN Peacebuilding Support Office between 2019-2021.
