Purpose

The project aims to provide technical support to the new Haitian interim government and the Conseil Présidentiel de Transition (CPT) for the duration of their 20-month mandate. The project will target the following actions: 1) assist the interim government in establishing its structures and operations (technical expertise and capacity building); 2) support the government in identifying and prioritizing urgent challenges (security, economy, social services) and developing a realistic and measurable action plan; and 3) put in place transparent and accountable governance practices. The project will also offer specific support to women in leadership positions.
