Purpose
The project will aim to improve the living conditions and food security of 10,000 persons living in the dry corridor of El Salvador, by promoting the participation and empowerment of rural women and youth, with a focus on nutrition, climate change adaptation, and management of water-forest-soil resources. This project will aim to strengthen food security and climate resilience, with a nutrition-sensitive approach that considers adaptation to climate change, good management and conservation of water-forest-soil resources; promote the participation and economic empowerment of rural women and youth and address inequality in access to safe and nutritious food for healthy diets; and implement mechanisms and drought contingency plans as well as anticipatory actions based on drought forecasts in selected municipalities of the Dry Corridor.
