Purpose

The Project will contribute to inclusive governance and democratic development in the Americas by enhancing the legitimacy and transparency of electoral processes consistent with international standards. The project will support election observation conducted by the Organization of American States (OAS/DECO) by working with Electoral Management Bodies to organize and support electoral processes that are inclusive, transparent and free from violence or manipulation. Activities will strengthen engagement with the electorate, notably vulnerable and at-risk communities who face systemic barriers, including diverse groups of women, youth and Indigenous communities.
