Purpose
October 2023 - the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) issued a three-month interagency Flash Appeal for USD 294 million to address the most urgent needs of affected populations in West Bank and Gaza, and neighboring countries, including Egypt and Lebanon, including food, shelter, emergency health assistance, water, sanitation and hygiene, protection services and other life-saving humanitarian assistance. With GAC’s support, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to meet the safety and sexual and reproductive health needs of vulnerable women and girls in West Bank and Gaza and neighboring countries, including Egypt and Lebanon. Project activities include: 1) ensuring protection from and response to gender-based violence; 2) providing emergency obstetric case, and sexual and reproductive health services; and 3) providing emergency health services, medication, dignity and reproductive health kits to crisis-affected people in West Bank and Gaza and neighboring countries, including Egypt and Lebanon.
