Purpose

The NBSAP Accelerator Partnership is a country-led initiative to support the development and implementation of ambitious National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans (NBSAP) and collectively achieve the goals and targets of the Kunming Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) and, ultimately, the global vision of living in harmony with nature by 2050. The initiative proposes a systemic inquiry approach to enhance institutional capabilities for implementing gender-responsive NBSAPs in five primary focus countries, strengthening partnerships between ministries, women's rights organizations, research institutions and other key stakeholders, and contributing to knowledge generation on the linkages between gender equality and biodiversity conservation.
