Purpose
The Women for Sustainable Peace in the BARMM is a five-year project that aims to strengthen inclusive, gender-responsive policy and programming on conflict prevention and resolution by government institutions in the BARMM; and Improve meaningful participation and leadership in conflict prevention and resolution and peace-humanitarian nexus of women peace mediators and women’s organizations in the BARMM. Beneficiaries will include government institutions, women’s organizations, and women peace mediators, including indigenous people, internally displaced, and female ex-combatants across all BARMM provinces, including three geographically-isolated and disadvantaged islands which are among those most left behind.
