Purpose
The project aims to strengthen the respect and protection of human rights in Bolivia by supporting the mission of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in its monitoring, documentation, reports and technical and strategic advice on the human rights situation in the country, with particular attention to the rights of women, indigenous Peoples and LGBTQ2 populations, among others. Project activities include: (1) documenting and mapping human rights violations; (2) the preparation and publication of clear reports on the human rights situation, including an analysis of the differentiated impact on women, indigenous Peoples, migrants, LGBTQ2 people and people deprived of their freedom; (3) provide technical assistance to civil society organizations, including women's and Indigenous organizations and LGBTQ2 groups, to enhance their capacity to monitor human rights, in accordance with relevant international human rights standards; and (4) conduct analysis of patterns of violence and political harassment of women, particularly Indigenous women in the electoral context.
