Purpose

Reaching Home supports Canadian communities in their efforts to prevent and reduce homelessness. This is accomplished by mobilizing partners at the federal, provincial/territorial and community levels, as well as the private and voluntary sectors, and other stakeholders, to address barriers to well-being faced by those who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness.Recipients located in communities not eligible for funding through the Designated Communities stream are eligible for project-based funding that is available in all provinces under the Rural and Remote Homelessness funding stream.
