Purpose

The objectives of the Indigenous Engagement Protocol Agreements are to support engagement capacity in key Indigenous organizations who will work with the Department of ESD and First Nations, Inuit, Métis and Urban/Non affiliated Indigenous communities and/or organizations to: • establish joint priorities based on research and analysis; • inform the Department of ESD program and policy design, development and implementation, better aligning them with community needs; and • maintain a mutually beneficial relationship with the Department of ESD to advance Reconciliation.
