Purpose

To develop, pilot and implement an on-line entry-to-practice, competency-based, national examination for the counselling profession, available to internationally- and nationally-trained candidates in both English and French, with a complementary self-assessment tool and language guide. This will ultimately provide internationally-trained counsellors with a clear understanding of educational and licensing requirements of the counselling profession in Canada and facilitate their integration into the Canadian workforce.
