Purpose
Systemic change informed by Gladue Principles to address Indigenous overrepresentation in the criminal justice system; Native Counselling Services of Alberta is proposing to work with each of the other 4 Indigenous Courtwork delivery agencies in Alberta to deliver a multi-year project focused on Elder involvement in court. This project will examine needs and context, develop recommendations and facilitate implementation with mainstream justice partners.
