Purpose

The Recipient agrees to undertake the "Metis Justice Elder and Advisory Committee Consultation Project". The objective of this project is to build internal capacity and enhance existing restorative justice programming through consultations with Elders and Advisory Committees on historical Metis cultural concepts of restorative justice and how it is best incorporated and undertaken within the Metis community. The concepts and practices identified in the consultations will assist with policy development and how to best incorporate the advice and knowledge into existing restorative justice programming.
