Purpose

Manitoba will undertake various activities to support victims of sexual assault and their interactions in the justice system, including: training for the public and service providers, creating a public brochure on reporting sexual assault complaints, updating the victim services overview brochure to include information on the rights of victims of crime, the expansion of testimonial aids, training for Manitoba prosecutions and victim services staff on issues concerning sexual and intimate partner violence, and the creation of a provincial sexual assault prosecution manual for Manitoba.
