Purpose
Five-year cost-shared agreement between Canada and the Province of Alberta for the delivery of criminal, and immigration and refugee legal aid. Alberta's five-year allocation for criminal legal aid will be $71,119,106. Alberta will also receive a portion of the $62,900,000 five-year federal allocation for immigration and refugee legal aid, which will be calculated on an annual basis. In addition, Alberta may receive further increases to its immigration and refugee legal aid funding allocation to address pressures.
