Purpose
This project will coordinate Nunatsiavut regional endeavours for families of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls by supporting access to a continuum of culturally-sensitive, trauma-informed supports, strengthening community capacity to respond to complex grief and trauma, and providing direct and indirect support to impacted individuals and families throughout the region. This work may include the direct provision of individual, family, or group counseling; assistance accessing pertinent supportive and therapeutic services; support and direction to service providers on the provision of trauma-informed, culturally appropriate services and collaboration with the provincial Family Information Liaison Unit services.
