Purpose

The Empower Project (T.E.P.) is an enhanced version of a previous program for extremely vulnerable young women of predominantly First Nations heritage who are justice-involved and diagnosed with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. T.E.P. will use a wrap-around case management approach and provide intensive and individualized support for these girls during the day and evenings in order to increase their chance of successful rehabilitation. Programming will be culturally adapted and include activities such as substance abuse counselling, skill building, family support, pro-social and recreational activities, mental health support, etc.
