Purpose
The Copernicus Space Component Program (CSC), formerly known as the Global Monitoring for Environment and Security Space Component Programme, is an optional program of the European Space Agency (ESA). CSC provides accurate, timely and easily accessible space-based information to improve the management of the environment, understand and mitigate the effects of climate change, and ensure civil security. The program consists of a growing constellation of satellites offering long-term coverage of the environment. The contribution has been awarded for the fourth segment of CSC (CSC-4).
