Purpose
The Space Safety Program (S2P) is an optional program of the European Space Agency (ESA). The general objective of S2P is to contribute to the protection of our planet, humanity, and assets in space and on Earth from hazards originating in Space and to contribute to providing safety from such hazards, as a service to its society. S2P encompasses ESA’s space safety activities such as Space Weather, Planetary Defence, Space Debris and Clean Space.
