Purpose

The specific objective(s) of this funding opportunity are to: • Support Phase 1 Award recipients in launching independent patient-oriented research careers, including careers in Indigenous Health Research, which will contribute to the improvement of health and/or the development of more effective health services and products; • Support the continued development of patient-oriented research competencies and specific skills; and • Establish a diversity of patient-oriented research leaders in Canada with supportive connections to other SPOR-funded entities, partners, leaders in Indigenous Health Research capacity development, and other stakeholders of patient-oriented research.
